10 Films With Recycled Titles

17 Nov
Anyone planning on seeing the new film Fair Game starring Naomi Watts and Sean Penn should not go in expecting a remake of the 1995 Cindy Crawford/Billy Baldwin classic of the same name. You see, many times Hollywood recycles titles from older films and slaps them on a completely different one, leading to confusion and pandemonium among viewers. So hoping to prevent future disappointment, here are ten more films whose synopses you should double check.

1.Crash

Sanctimonious, interwoven stories that say it’s bad to be racist VS. Cronenberg’s tale of car-crash fetishes

2.Notorious

Grant and Bergman as star-crossed spies VS. B.I.G. biopic

3.Gladiator

Cuba’s illegal high school boxing VS. Gladiator

4.Sahara

Bogie WWII propaganda VS. McConaughey treasure hunt

5.Jersey Girl

Skip them both.

6.Running Scared
Hines/Crystal cop caper VS. Paul Walker nonsense

7.Bad Boys

Smith/Lawrence cop caper VS. Sean Penn juvy flick

8.The Kid

Chaplin classic VS. Willis dud

9.The Aviator

Howard Hughes VS. Wolf-pursued postman

10.Heat

Burt Reynolds VS. Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro (sorry, Burt)
